No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to
play it.

For two years, a fourth grade team of four students and I designed a web site for the ThinkQuest competition. It involved countless hours on weekends and after school and was a learning experience for all of us. The first year, our BodyBytes site won Honorable Mention, of over 400 entries. The second year, we won first in state with the PatternPalace site, which included original artwork and poetry.
Students were amazed with the process of web site fabrication. The act of creating something out of "nothing" in cyberspace is an unforgettable event. We used two web building software packages, a photo editing program, digital cameras and scanners, and a lot of old-fashioned imagination and persistence.
ThinkQuest is an organization which sponsors hundreds of student-created web sites, which follow strict educational standards and must be interactive. The database of sites is a wealth of resources on educational topics. Search the Libraries link.
Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race; but here
and there, in the course of ages, an individual has stood up and cast his
shadow over the world.

Students in my Computer Graphics class created their own personal web sites. They were supposed to showcase their work and unique talents, as well as give viewers a feeling for who they are.
Browse and enjoy.
